Alphagen Renewables Managing Director Richard Tipping is a commercially aware waste management industry professional, with broad experience of the business, gained in operating companies and consultancy, both in the UK and overseas, including over 9 years in South East Asia.

Richard’s involvement in numerous projects has covered diverse topics, from design of a cavern transfer station; marine engineering aspects through to ships, cranes and container movement scheduling. Through his role with an SME that designed, manufactured and commissioned landfill gas flares and a variety of other novel process equipment he gained valuable business management experience.

He has held responsibility for the creation and management of capital and operational budgets, P&L and for project implementation and management. He has carried out landfill audits, leachate management reviews, gas utilisation feasibility studies and taken schemes through to systems commissioning, including CDM projects.

Richard now runs AlphaGen Renewables Limited and Chase Environmental.
